Exciting News: The National Lottery Funding Awarded to International Lighthouse CIC

We are thrilled to announce that International Lighthouse CIC has been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. This award is going to help us launch our new project ‘Leading Legal Solutions and Support’. This two-year award will mark a significant milestone in our mission to help the community from Northamptonshire and its diverse communities by offering crucial support where it is needed most.

What is “Leading Legal Solutions and Support”?

This project is all about breaking down barriers to justice for vulnerable migrants of our local community who struggle to access legal aid. Over the next two years, we will:

  • Provide free, pro-bono, and confidential legal consultations and guidance in multiple languages for matters including immigration, welfare, criminal law, employment, and civil issues that often put people at risk of exploitation, homelessness, or social exclusion.
  • Arrange awareness campaigns for the public—both online and in-person—designed to inform and empower, available in many community languages so no one is left behind.

Who Can We Help?

  • Vulnerable migrants who have lost their legal status or are at risk of becoming undocumented.
  • Individuals who are not eligible for traditional legal aid but have urgent needs.
  • Community members are at risk of homelessness, rough sleeping, or being unable to access social support due to unresolved legal matters.
  • Vulnerable students, workers, families, and other vulnerable individuals from the Northamptonshire area who may benefit from specialist legal guidance.

What We Offer

  • Qualified, experienced staff—including accredited police representatives, paralegal solicitors, and immigration consultants to support and guide clients.
  • Initial pro-bono consultations for the most vulnerable individuals.
  • Awareness campaigns to educate the wider community about their rights, risks, and how to seek help.

Why This Matters

With this funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, we can address issues faced by some of the most vulnerable members of our community—people forced to navigate complex legal systems alone, or who simply cannot afford help, leading to them being exposed to homelessness. By reducing financial and language barriers, we hope to create a stronger, safer, and more inclusive community for all.
